Raised in Northern Virginia, Nick began a deep interest and love for music at an early age, often playing the acoustic guitar with his childhood best friend. Together, they would experiment with sounds, write songs and record their own originals. Over the past 10 years, Nick has experimented with various styles of music, most recently performing in a local band as the lead singer opening for national acts such as “Fuel” as well as playing at local venues all over the DC metro area.

The gloves came off with this beer. The Heavyweight is a MASSIVE, complex and rich Imperial Stout. With eight rounds of malts including Pale Chocolate, Malted Oats and Roasted Barley, this beer is a bruiser! With notes of baker's cocoa, silky toffee and freshly made chocolate fudge, The Heavyweight has a dense and creamy mouthfeel. The hops play their role well here, keeping the sweetness in check with a spicy and herbal bitterness. Still, the malt is the champion of this beer.

We pushed ourselves and our brewhouse to the ropes, but we love Imperial Stouts so we had to toss our hat into the ring. A champion like The Heavyweight is guaranteed to return to the ring in some form eventually…

Alex The Red Parez aka El Rojo has been bringing acoustic rock (Americana, Classic Rock, Pop Rock and Old Time Country Western) to the Washington DC Metro Area since 2006. Jumpin’ Willys is an acoustic rock band performing music across every decade from the 60’s to today.  They produce lively, foot tapping, sing along type music with combinations of guitar, bass, ukulele, harmonica, banjo and percussion wrapped with vocal harmonies

Singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Matty Davis has been performing in various positions in various original and cover bands in the mid-Atlantic for 30 years. Now most often a solo performer, Matty utilizes topflight musicianship and a passion for crowd engagement to perform his originals and an expansive repertoire of covers to venues everywhere, carrying the love and tradition of Kara & Matty D forward forever. 

Philippe is a singer, guitarist and percussionist from Washington DC who has been playing music for 30 years. His music blends rock and soul, bringing a special spin on his repertoire of over 150 covers. Some covered artists include Bob Marley, the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Talking Heads, Rolling Stones, Grateful Dead, Marvin Gaye, Beck, Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan among others. His music creates a cozy atmosphere that blends in with the venue’s ambience and clientele.

Jordan is a local Woodbridge guitarist and singer who brings a welcoming, carefree vibe everywhere he's blessed to perform. The Pennsylvania-born musician was raised on a diverse mix of eras, genres, and artists that ensures everyone within earshot can join the fun (s/o to my Dad and Guitar Hero 3). After focusing on fronting local Virginia-based rock band Tunnels End these last four years, he's picked up the guitar full-time once again to bring you a performance that will have you hangin' out for a round or two. Requests always welcome!

Born and raised in Virginia Beach, Eric has opened up for Fastball, Edwin McCain, and Dierks Bentley. He plays covers all over the board from Irish drinking songs to 90s R&B to current Top 40 hits. Surely to be a party, come out and sing!

Long time Philadelphia musician now Virginia resident starting to make his mark in the VA area. Michael Stoutenger has been a stage musician for over 18 years starting when he was 18 years old at open mics than progressing to his own Saturday night shows leading to a 3 piece band he would lead for 10 years known as Stealing Fame. Michael recorded several albums with Stealing Fame which ultimately came to an end in 2020 during the pandemic. Since then Michael has been working on his solo career once again as he begins his journey in a new state. Currently performing acoustic covers from artists varying from Breaking Benjamin to Michael Jackson

Southern by way of the Rust Belt, Scott Kurt performs over 200 shows a year from Boston to Nashville and everywhere in between. His unique brand of music combines elements of his influences including Tom Petty, Eric Church, CCR, Luke Combs and many more

The Water's End Grand Cru is rich in its complexity and tradition. This year is no different featuring a blending of wild ales from Grand Cru past and present. One barrel of Grand Cru 2024 was selected for holding as it awaits the 2025 vintage and a perfectly blended fate. 

In recent years, Grand Cru Preview offers a peek behind the curtain of our annual favorite. This year the base beer was designed more specifically to stand alone while still providing the foundation for our custom wild yeast blend featured in the final product. Grand Cru Preview 2025 is a dopplebock by style. Historically brewed by German Friars near Munich, it was preferred during Lent as the heavily malted beer was rich in nutrients while they fasted through the day. The Friars called it Salvator or "liquid bread" and the strong alcohol while fasting probably passed the days a little quicker. Look for a strong malt backbone with biscuit, caramel and a little nuttiness both in the aroma and the flavor. A full mouthfeel comes from the large amount of residual sugar intentionally left behind for our wild yeast to feast as they create this year's Grand Cru.
