We’re happy to train and invest in furthering your craft beer knowledge, so let us tell you a bit more about the job:

Beer Servers at Water’s End Brewery are the first smiling faces that our customers interact with and are critical to the daily operation of multiple taprooms. Duties include greeting customers, pouring beer, cleaning tables/glassware, filling to-go items, opening and closing tabs, and telling customers about our beer! This position also assists with opening, maintaining, and closing a clean and sanitized taproom. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Greet customers when they arrive and ensure that they understand the ordering and seating process.

  • Display thorough knowledge of taplist offerings and assist customers in selecting a beer when necessary.

  • Correctly pour beers and enter accurate orders/tabs into Square.

  • Change kegs, nitrogen, and co2 tanks when necessary.

  • Assist with cleaning and closing the taproom during a shift.

  • Fill crowlers and growlers when needed. Print labels, and fill out growler tags when supplies run low.

  • Help maintain a pleasant taproom environment (temperature, music & volume, cleanliness, conduct).

  • Assist in executing special events in the taproom.

  • Clean and sanitize bar and table surfaces between groups/customers.

  • Escalate customer concerns to Taproom Manager and General Manager when necessary.

  • Ensure that the taproom is Virginia ABC compliant at all times.

  • Demonstrating thorough understanding of procedures related to filling crowlers, growlers, and draft pours.

  • Demonstrating knowledge of new and existing beers, taproom processes, and Water’s End Brewery culture.

  • Working towards continuous optimization of taproom operations.

  • Playing the role of brand ambassador.
